The Ultimate Reads Library

Introducing the Notion templates by Merchant on The Ultimate Reads Library – one of my favorite tools for productivity. This template is a replica of what I use, and if you know me even a little, you’ll know how much I like absorbing knowledge from books, podcasts and informational YouTube videos (together defined as ‘Reads’).

It is challenging absorbing all that Reads, and sometimes you want an easy way to capture all that information. Here are main key factors I considered whilst building this Ultimate Reads library of mine:

• 🍱 Smart grouping: I like different genres, and I always ensure I read different genres to keep the variety. This is a great quick highlight of what I am reading and if I’d like to diversify my Reads. I also add quick attributes as I like reading and/or listening from the same Authors.
• ➿ Integrations: This database captures all the books I read on the kindle, podcasts I listen on SNIPD and website articles; all of them have 3 integrations into my database. It isn’t technical, just a simple click and it creates the Read as an item along with a summary auto created. I highly recommend using all of them as this Ultimate Reads library is where all your Reads stay. I also recommend checking out widgets to add Reads on the go directly from your mobile. • 🔁 Leveraging knowledge: There is so much gold in these Reads that I want to either share them with my network by directly sharing the page or using that info to create content and share it on all my socials. Having a pre-defined template for each Read helps me summarize and create content when needed.
